With support from 100% of the Hocking Hills Music Festival line-up, HHMF will require proof of full vaccination OR a negative COVID-19 test taken 72 hours or less prior to attending our festival for all artists, staff, volunteers, vendors, and guests.

This new policy is our best and good faith attempt to keep live, in-person performances happening and to keep our staff, artists, audience, and family members safe.

Similar policies are quickly becoming the industry standard as we all hope to avoid another devastating shutdown of the music industry.

As the health and safety of all Hocking Hills Music Festival attendees, vendors, artists, volunteers and staff is our top priority, and as the Delta variant of the COVID-19 virus continues to strain healthcare networks throughout Ohio, we will require the following to enable entry into the festival for all individuals:

  • Proof of mature vaccination (greater than 14 days since final dose) OR a negative COVID-19 test (rapid, PCR, or video-proctored home test with a Telehealth provider & electronically reported results) taken no sooner than 72 hours prior to entry from all attendees 12 years and older must be shown at the gate in order to receive a festival wristband. A digital photo of your card or test results will work, but please have them ready when you arrive.

  • As previously stated, we are requiring that children between the ages of 5-11 (those currently unable to receive a vaccination) show proof of a negative covid test. This could be a rapid, PCR or an at-home test (no video-proctored electronic result required for those 5-11 years old). All children under 12 will need to arrive with a parent, legal guardian or adult who can confirm the negative test. Children under 5 do not need to show a negative test result; however, we still highly recommend that you have your kids tested if possible. We trust that parents will handle the situation responsibly and as they feel most comfortable (i.e., asking children to wear masks in crowds and/or avoiding crowded spaces).

  • All festival guests must attest that they (and those who arrive with them) do not have any covid symptoms (fever of 100.4F or higher, Cough, Shortness of breath, Difficulty breathing, Chills, Fatigue, Muscle or body aches, Headache, Sore throat, Loss of taste or smell, Nasal congestion, Runny nose, Vomiting, Diarrhea, Nausea, or any other symptoms identified by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention ). Regardless of vaccination status, all must attest that they have not been in close contact (within 6 feet of someone for more than 15 minutes) with someone who has Covid-19 in the past 14 days (including themselves) or have tested negative at least five days after this close contact.

If you are feeling sick or presenting with any symptoms, please do not attend or leave the festival grounds as soon as you feel sick.

We encourage all festival guests, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask in crowded areas like vendor, alcohol and merch tents. Please be respectful of others’ choices to wear masks or maintain distance from others.

We appreciate your support and understanding.

WHAT KIND OF TESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED?
For guests 12 and older, a negative COVID-19 test result that was administered by an official testing center/ healthcare provider is required. This could be a PCR or rapid test, or an at-home test observed by a Telehealth provider + electronically reported results (https://ohio.emed.com/). Test results must be dated no more than 72 hours prior to entry. A screenshot of the emailed test results or those shown through your healthcare provider’s app will all be accepted. At-home testing kit results will not be accepted for entry for those 12 and older unless monitored by a healthcare professional who delivers results electronically.

HOW DO I SHOW PROOF OF VACCINATION WHEN I ARRIVE?
Acceptable documentation includes the physical COVID-19 Vaccination Card or a digital copy of the card on your phone. You must present your card with your ID (school ID or another form of identification will work for kids over 12 who do not have state IDs. If your child does not have an ID, the parent or adult with whom they are arriving must verify the validity of the vaccination card/ negative test.) Email us at hockinghillsmusicfest@gmail.com with questions.

WHAT IF I HAVE A MEDICAL CONDITION OR RELIGIOUS BELIEF THAT EXEMPTS ME FROM GETTING VACCINATED?

Any guest who has an exemption due to a medical condition, disability or religious belief will need to provide a negative COVID test (see above for which tests will be accepted). Test results must be dated no more than 72 hours prior to entry.

WHAT ABOUT ATTENDEES UNDER THE AGE OF 12?
As the vaccine has not been approved for use on kids under age 12, a negative Covid test taken within 72 hours of the event will be required for kids ages 5 and up. These tests could be a PCR or rapid test, or an at-home test (video proctored with electronic results not required for those 5-11 years old).

No test is required for children under 5.

I HAVE NO INTENTION OF GETTING VACCINATED, SO CAN I GET A REFUND?
The refund period for those who did not agree with our policy ended on August 31, 2021.

DO I HAVE TIME TO BE FULLY VACCINATED BEFORE THE MUSIC FESTIVAL IN OCTOBER?
At the time these FAQs were updated (Sept 27th), there is no longer time to begin your vaccinations to be fully vaccinated by the festival date. However, there is still time to schedule and receive a covid test.
